Homescreen shows more useful options

The homescreen could be a useful place to find information you want to quickly navigate to. Itโ€™s currently showing Most Popular Nearby, which is hit or miss whether it actually shows the closest climbing areas anyway, Top 10, Recently Published, and Explore, which area all fairly generic and random. I would love to see my favourite areas, particularly ones I want to highlight while Iโ€™m on a trip, so I can navigate directly there with a single tap when I open the app. To Do list is probably one of the functions in the app I use most. I find myself often looking through routes in my free time. Having it more visible and available with fewer clicks would be nice. Right now the home screen feels unnecessary, I never use it, which feels like a shame since itโ€™s the landing place when opening the app.

Can't add new spots in the mobile app

Version 3.1.1 (422) on Android. When attempting to add a new spot, there is a ton of unwanted behaviour. Firstly, after setting the wanted location/coordinates of the spot, the app changes it into something else. Earlier I have had it switch the location (multiple times) to a random spot in Austria, and now I had it somewhere in Germany. Chaging the location back after this unwanted change, the location stays, but the โ€˜Saveโ€™ button is unresponsive. Expected behaviour: firstly, the set location should stay the same as the one put in first. Secondly, the save button should not be unresponsive, and pressing it should result in a new spot added. This means, that currently, at least for me, there is no way of adding new spots through the mobile app. This is most unfortunate, as the mobile app used to be a very handy tool used for the topoing process, ESPECIALLY setting the locations of the spots as you can match your own GPS coordinates.

Mandatory Driving Waypoints for Parking Navigation

Summary โ€‹Allow crag editors to define a specific driving route to the parking area by using mandatory waypoints. This ensures users follow landowner-approved roads instead of the "fastest route" suggested by GPS, which often leads through private property and causes access issues. โ€‹The Problem: The "GPS Shortcut" Trap โ€‹Currently, when a user clicks "Navigate" to a parking lot, the navigation app (Google/Apple Maps) automatically calculates the fastest route. In many rural or sensitive areas, this leads to a major problem: โ€‹Trespassing: GPS often routes climbers through private roads or farm tracks where driving is forbidden. โ€‹Access Bans: Even if the "Access" text description warns against these roads, many users follow the GPS line blindly. This is currently one of the leading causes of friction between landowners and the climbing community. โ€‹The Solution: Mandatory Waypoints โ€‹27crags should allow editors to add a "Safe Entry Point" (waypoint) that is automatically included in the navigation link. By forcing the navigation through a specific intersection or road section, we can ensure users approach the parking lot from the correct direction. โ€‹Technical Implementation โ€‹The "Navigate" button should support the Google Maps Directions API URL scheme. By leaving the origin empty, the app automatically uses the user's current location. โ€‹URL Format: [https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&waypoints=](https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&waypoints=)[WAYPOINT]&destination=[PARKING_COORDINATES] โ€‹Practical Example: If the parking is at Evatuntie 337 but the only allowed access is via the Evatuntie 1 intersection, the link would be: [https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&waypoints=Evatuntie+1&destination=Evatuntie+337](https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&waypoints=Evatuntie+1&destination=Evatuntie+337) โ€‹Suggested UI Change โ€‹Add an optional field in the Crag/Parking editor: "Driving Waypoint (Optional)". โ€‹If filled, the "Navigate" button generates a multi-point link. โ€‹If empty, the button functions as a standard single-point destination. โ€‹Impact โ€‹Access Preservation: Proactively prevents trespassing and helps maintain good relationships with landowners. โ€‹User Experience: Climbers don't need to cross-reference text instructions while driving; the "correct" route is handled automatically by their GPS.
